Personal Support Worker
CanNorth College’s Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate program helps address the ongoing need for qualified PSWs to care for people who are ill, convalescing, elderly or need help with daily tasks. You will provide daily assistance with mobility, medication reminders, housekeeping, meal preparation, feeding and more. New Funding Incentives from the Government of Ontario
The government of Ontario recently announced new funding incentives to help fill the ongoing demand for PSWs. New students to our PSW program may receive up to $5,440 during clinical placements with recent graduates eligible to receive $10,000 in exchange for a 12-month commitment to work in a long-term care home or for a home and community care employer. An additional $10,000 is available to assist with relocation costs for graduates who make a 12-month commitment for those working in rural, remote or northern areas. Get more information now!
